Amazon Design for Heartbeat
Heartbeat Hot Sauce Co. had a cult brand and killer flavors, but an Amazon presence that did not do them justice. I led a full ecomm makeover, rebuilding the product detail pages with scroll-stopping image stacks, designing A+ content and a branded storefront, and creating bundles and variety packs, all while protecting the bold, small-batch personality that makes Heartbeat, Heartbeat. The goal: keep the edge, amplify the ecomm potential.
I started with the main image stacks, the make-or-break sequence on every PDP. For each SKU, Red Habanero, Camp Sauce, Mango Habanero, the Darkside of the Grill Shiitake Szechuan collab, I built a story that scrolls: a punchy product hero, ingredient and flavor callouts ("Scotch Bonnet Pepper Forward," "Smoky Paprika," "Orange Habanero Heat"), nutrition and certification panels, and appetite-driving lifestyle shots, each frame engineered to answer questions and drive add-to-cart.
I designed full A+ content modules that gave the brand room to flex its voice, "Hello Nostalgia," "A Sauce for Everything," "On Island Time," "For Bold Taste Buds", pairing high-contrast type with moody, mouthwatering food photography so the listings feel like the brand, not a generic template.
To lift average order value, I created bundles and variety packs, the 12-flavor Discovery Kit, Classics, and Variety Pack sets, with clear, giftable layouts and "Flavors for Your Favorite Moments" messaging that turns single-bottle shoppers into multi-bottle buyers.
I designed a cohesive Amazon storefront to tie it all together, with merchandised sections for Classics, Variety Packs, Collabs, Recipes, and the brand story, so the shopping experience feels like a destination and reinforces Heartbeat as a premium, craft hot sauce maker.
Throughout, I kept the brand’s edgy, small-batch identity intact, the heart-pepper mark, the inky black labels, the irreverent copy, while layering in the clarity, hierarchy, and conversion cues that a high-performing Amazon presence demands.
