Packaging for How To Be A Redhead
How To Be A Redhead needed packaging and a launch image library for "Finally Have Lashes," their signature mascara. I designed the tube, a confident red-and-blush wave system with a tactile, editorial feel, and then built the entire visual campaign with art-directed AI photography. From clean product heroes to flirty Valentine’s tic-tac-toe scenes, the AI imagery let us launch a polished, fully art-directed catalog quickly while keeping production fast, flexible, and on-brand.
I designed the "Finally Have Lashes" mascara packaging around How To Be A Redhead’s bold signature red, pairing it with a soft blush and a playful wave that wraps the tube. The result feels premium and tactile while staying unmistakably HTBAR, confident, feminine, and a little cheeky.
Rather than wait on a full production shoot, I created the launch image library with art-directed AI photography. I directed every frame, lighting, composition, surface, and mood, so the AI-generated imagery felt like a cohesive, intentional campaign rather than a set of one-off renders.
The hero product shots stack and fan the tubes into bold, graphic compositions, with the wand and brush as a recurring motif, to sell the texture of the packaging and the promise of the formula in a single scroll-stopping image.
For lifestyle, I leaned into a flirty, Valentine’s-ready concept: tubes staged as game pieces in a tic-tac-toe grid of hand-drawn mascara X’s and hearts. The playful set-ups give the brand social-native, conversion-friendly content that still feels art-directed and high-end.
I handled post production and retouching by hand to unify color, contrast, and finish across the set, so every AI-generated frame reads as one polished campaign, keeping the catalog fresh and flexible while controlling production time and cost.
